Have your team FALL back in love with the office with these tips!
The days are getting shorter, the weather is getting cooler, and as soon as you say "pumpkin spice latte," you know it's fall. This means that employees will go back to work and a new season will start after covid shutdown.
Studies have shown that a cluttered workspace can make your employees and potential clients feel stressed and anxious. We've also been told that a clean office can make your employees more productive.
No matter if it's fall, winter, spring, or summer, if your business needs a good cleaning, we wanted to give you some tips to make your workspace look great and boost the morale of your employees.

Set up and clean up work areas
On the day you choose, all of the staff should be asked to help clean up. There should be more trash cans, recycling bins, and cleaning supplies. Use old newspapers, files, and reports again. Encourage staff members to clean up the mess on their desks and the random stacks of paper that seem to pile up near the printer on their own.
A recent study found that using office phones, coffee cups, and other items on a desk can be good places for bacteria to grow. If you spill food or drink on your desk, chair, or cubicle, clean it up with soapy water. Use wipes that kill germs to clean phones, keyboards, and computer mice. Upholstered office furniture, such as fabric desk chairs, should be cleaned as needed.
Low and high vacuuming!

Give the carpets and floors a good vacuuming to get rid of dust and other debris, especially in corners and behind furniture. If you need to, set up a professional carpet cleaning service.
Don't forget to vacuum up high, where dust and cobwebs can gather. Use the vacuum dusting brush to clean light fixtures, blinds, window treatments, vents, and the trim around doors and windows.
Get the windows clean and let the sun in!
Cleaning the windows is another office cleaning tip that your employees will appreciate as the days get shorter in the fall and winter. Clean all of the windows, including the ledges and the tracks. If you need to, take off and clean the screens and put in storm windows. This is also a good time to make sure there are no leaks or cracks.
Check the routine for cleaning the bathroom
No one's top 10 list of things to clean include the bathroom. After all, they will just get dirty again the next week and need to be cleaned. As we already said, smells are a sign that you need to change the way you clean the restrooms at work. But uric scale growing on the bottoms of toilets and urinals and black spots under the rims of toilets are also signs that you may need to call a commercial cleaning company.

Our restroom cleaning services start with a deep cleaning of all your fixtures to get rid of uric scale and other dirt that could be feeding bacteria that cause bad smells. In the last step, an electrostatic spray is used to cover every surface in the restrooms with a strong germicide that will keep killing germs and bacteria until the technician comes back the next week.
Clean the kitchen or break room

Just like bathrooms, kitchens and breakrooms are places where germs and bacteria tend to grow. Here's a tip from the pros on how to clean a business: start with the refrigerator. Tell the employees that you're going to clean out the fridge so you don't throw away someone's lunch by accident. On November 15, which is National Clean Out Your Refrigerator Day, you might want to celebrate with a clean and shiny fridge. Throw away any food that has passed its expiration date, any sandwiches you forgot to eat, and anything else that looks suspicious. Use warm soapy water to clean the inside and outside of the fridge.
Scrub the sink, the counters, the table, and the chairs to get food and dirt off of them. In addition to cleaning bathrooms, tile floors, and workspaces, J and C Building Cleaning can also take care of breakrooms.
Deep Clean Tile Floors
Tile floors are good for places with a lot of foot traffic because they are durable and easy to clean. But they do need to be scrubbed every so often to get rid of dirt. Fall is a good time to have your office tile and grout cleaned by a professional.
On tile and grout that is hard to clean, our technicians use cleaning products that kill harmful bacteria and other germs. During the deep-cleaning process, tile and grout can be scrubbed safely with commercial-grade extractors and low water pressure to make office floors look like new again.
If the bathrooms in your office have tile floors, this is also a good time to deep clean them, especially if you've noticed bad smells that don't go away with regular cleaning. If your office bathroom smells bad, it might be time to change how you clean it.
Change the HVAC and air filters.

Filters for your HVAC system can improve the air quality in your office by reducing airborne pollutants, such as viruses. Set up a time for a professional in HVAC to come and check the air filters in commercial units.
During the pandemic, did your office put in portable air cleaners to stop the spread of illness? Most of these devices have filters that can be cleaned or use higher-quality HEPA filters. Check each unit's filters to see if they need to be cleaned or replaced.
Give J and C Building Cleaning a call.
Fall is a good time to look at your business's cleaning needs as a whole. If you don't have professionals doing dirty jobs around your office, it might be time to let them do it. And if you already have a commercial cleaning service, do they still meet your needs and keep your business safe and healthy?
Isn’t it time you discovered what many other businesses in town have already learned? Affordable, dependable, and highly responsive cleaning services are available just a stone’s throw away.
So, let’s connect for coffee (my treat) to discuss how we can increase the quality of your cleaning.
